The Little Free Library is always open in front of the Arts Center, the first one in Bartlett. It sits just outside our door by the bench and all are welcome to “take a book, return a book.”  It joins 40,000 Little Free Libraries are found in all 50 states and more than 70 countries worldwide  16 million books each year are being exchanged through Little Free Libraries worldwide since the movement to encourage reading and build community in 2010. The Friends of the Bartlett Public Library donated our first books available for exchange. Come ready to take a book and leave a book.  If you have additional books you’d like to donate, please bring them to the Arts Center when we are open Tues/Thurs/Sat. 10 to 5; Fri noon to 6. We especially welcome children’s books and books about the arts (music, art, theater).  The design on the Little Free Library is of course arts-related and was created by 2016 Intern Madeline Derango with the help of a famous one-eared red headed man. Can you guess?
